A standard ESG project involves the static and dynamic analysis of rigging components. Our analysis of these components stops at the building structure, where the loads from the rigging system are shown on the drawings. These loads are for the building engineer of record to apply to the structure. Methods for the mechanical and rigging component analysis are non-standard and have been developed specifically by ESG through the years. The methods for analysis typically involve plate buckling and bending, composite “sandwich” panel analysis, and various part and component capacities from a large variety of manufacturers.
